There was very little to like here. The staff argued and fought verbally with each other on multiple occasions in front of guests. The food was fair at best for breakfast and the service was snippy and argumentative. I liked the view of the Med Sea out my window, and that's about it.
The room was absolutely filthy and when I asked the manager to inspect it, he argued with me and said the carpet was vacuumed that very morning. I reached down and pulled 3 large clumps of hair of the floor that would have taken many weeks to gather there. The manager was very embarrassed and then asked me what I was looking for, as if it was ok to be filthy as long as I got a free night. Unbelievable! They cleaned my carpet, but this hotel is terrible for neatness and cleanliness. The paint on the exterior of the hotel was touched up for many years and the place looked horrible. I will never stay here again. Contact me, I have pictures!
This hotel has improved over the years and now reaches a standard that I find acceptable. It allows me to work uninterrupted in my room with air conditioning that really works! The breakfasts are super although I think the staff could be a little more friendly and start the day with a smile.
The bottom sheet on the bed was hardly big enough to cover the mattress. There should be enough material to allow the sheet to tuck over and under the mattress. The bath/shower has far too many taps and gadgets. All that is needed is the shower head and the tap to operate it. The fitted bits and pieces are a hazard should one fall. One is more like to be killed from wounds caused by these taps and things than just slipping. The cost of the stay is measured in dollars. I'm not sure this is a good idea!
Excellent location, decent room with view of the sea, reasonable price.
Pool and gym were both filthy, with limited hours, and photos of both on the website made them both seem much, much bigger than they were. Most of the staff did not seem to understand the notion of "service", with the exception of Ruth at the front desk who was helpful. Israeli breakfast was adequate but paled in comparison to other hotels we stayed in during our trip to Israel.
The location of the hotel is very good. Quiet, away from the noisy main square. Try to get a room with sea view (I believe most of them are facing the sea anyway). Staff very helpful and many languages are spoken. Lobby is airy and dining room comfortable. Good value for money.
The room cleaning could be better. Bed linens were not clean and too short for the bed when I arrived but they were changed straight away. Also, no shower gel; just mini-soap and shampoo. I would not recommend Netanya for people with reduced mobility since there are a fair number of staircases to get to the beach (beautiful beach by the way). Also Netanya is not such a nice city: but good for restaurant and animation at night.
Location to main beach 500 metres. Room and bathroom dirty, much in need of renovation. Room and bathroom quite small. Buffet breakfast unappetising and quite limited. Staff relatively uninterested in guests.
The hotel was only 5 minutes away from the main square, shops, restaurants and the beach. The staff were very friendly.
The size of the room and it was all a bit shabby
Proximity to beach Sun terrace overlooking sea
Poor facilities in room - mo shower gel, body lotion etc provided in bathroom. no kettle Bathroom very small Snack bar not open at pool area. Very poor choioces at breakfast and no fresh fruit ever available
Large room suitable for four guests.
Dreary outdated room.
sitting on the balcony watchi g the sunset
The door to the balcony is warped and does not fit properly The towels are thin and worn The soap was like a piece of wood.
Right on beach. Walk to synagogue. Every room has view of Mediterranean. Very responsive staff. Excellent breakfast.
Nearly fell on slippery entrance porch after rain.
Quiet, calm hotel with efficient staff - lovely breakfasts.
All rooms face the sea. The boardwalk and beach are great for walking. It is also close to many good restaurants and stores. The colorful town market is also in walking distance. The rooms are medium size and I like the white furniture. The hotel is definitely a very good deal for the price of room and breakfast. I would recommend eating lunch and dinner at restaurants in the area
I visit Israel frequently and usually spend time in Netanya but this is the first time, at the suggetion of a friend that I chose the King Solomon. It was a good value, the location was excellent, view of the Sea, easy access to the beach for walking, excellent breakfast and although the carpet needs cleaning, was basically a clean room. I will certainly staying at the facility on future visits to Israel. June Avivi.
I would have appreciated a kettle & appropriate cup etc.so that I could make tea in the late afternoon / evening while watching the sunset or reading particularly if I was staying longer than 2 days.
close to the beach and relatives, friendly staff, great breakfast, easy and free parking on the street
The lobby and dining room were bright and welcoming .
Room was very tired and chairs on balcony old and ripped.
